Within the last 2 years I have become VERY sensitive to the sun. I am of Greek descent so th sun is not completely foreign but I also don't seem to have much resistance to it. I live in Los Angeles where it is frequently sunny and where I would often go for long walks during the daytime. Being in the sun makes me skin feel like my skin is burning, and the reflection of the sun off chrome or glass or light-colored paint hurts my eyes.

I have also become much colder and cynical and am wondering if these two are related (due to melanin's spiritual benefits). This may sound like a joke, etc. but I am sensitive to the sun so I have an interest in melanin and I am open minded to different explanations to my recent sensitivity.

Also, are there any ways to increase melanin? I get enough vitamin A.

It sounds as if you may be suffering from melanoma.

Nevertheless, since melanin is found in pigment, an artificial way in which melanin can be increased, which is otherwise, genetic inference; is to load up on these foods,
carrots, tomatoes, melons, fish and dairy.

Thanks for the non sarcastic respnse. I do eat plenty of carrot for this reason. I also have 2 dark spots on my lip and a spot on the inside of my hand which to me are both odd places to get so I will have to look into the melanoma thing.

My hair cutting person asked me what that was on my lower lip and I jokingly said skin cancer but it's getting to the point what I'm probably gonna have to get checked out

Agreed with Clyde. I took melatonin pills for a bit but did not like the drowsy side effect
