Quiet Poetry Lounge : In The Rain

[Heartbeat]

Take my hand
We'll run through the door
Skip every other step going down the stairs
We'll run around in the pouring rain
Dodging raindrops
Trying not to get wet
Arms extended with our heads tilted back
Spiraling upward
Spinning
Laughing

We'll stick out our tongues
Tasting the reason for our fun
Stomping our feet in rain puddles
Splashing each other
Looking into each others eyes
Through raindrops on our eyelashes

Our clothes stick to our bodies
Our bodies drenched with joy
God's water runnimg down our face
Gathering at the corners of our mouths
Mouths that are smiling
Joined by hearts and souls that are loving
You and I
Playing in the rain
