    i suppose it was naive of me to think that if one only searched ones heart one would know
    that none of us is responsible for the complextion of his/her skin, texture of our hair, or the size of our noses. moreover we cannot change any of those things other than our noses if we wanted to, and many of us do not wish to change them.
    This fact of nature offers no clue to the character or quality of the person underneath.

    My family I researched a series of poetry and ask that you add a line ot two keeping it in the contest of our beginnings here in the belly of the beast. Give us an idea of your thoughts

    THE PAST

    AFRAKAN** men and women girls and boys
    came here before the mayflower
    and they cleared the forests,
    drained the swamps and
    cultivated the grain.
    The wealth of this so called
    amerikkka, was founded on what
    "honest abe"
    "called the 250 years of unrequited toil"
    of Afrakan men and women
    from the muted halls of kings and queens
    going in chains to amerikkkan plantations
    came the gold that made capitalism possible;
    from Afrakan brawn came tobacco;from Afrakan blood;
    white sugar.
