    in my minds eye
    i feel a snowy rhythm
    the wind swirling snow spirals
    outside my window
    playing soulful christmas songs
    they still crackle
    out my speakers
    making me
long for the days of a needle against some vinyl
for a brief moment i think of you
the way things used to be
but i am hanging candy canes onto my christmas tree
    and as jackie wilson
    otis redding
    mahalia jackson and gladys knight
sing all the songs from my childhood
i no longer want to think about you
    in the present
or where you are stickin' your dyck
    just about good times
    in my minds eye
as i feel a snowy rhythm
    outside my window
i want to hold on to this happy feeling
    there's no room for you
    when my heart
    is filled with the love
    of christmas
