Black History : In Kemetan era-was there a sabbath?

For anyone studying the Kemetan view
I know some black Hebrew Israelites keep a sabbath on Saturday. Even though they didn't go by days in that time, was that something passed down or is their something similiar?

PEACE WISDOM:

First, let's understand the meaning and origin of the term "SABBATH DAY".

It is a HEBRAIC word (YOM SABBATHI), which simply means "The 7TH day."

Etymologically, it has no spiritual connotation.

However, the concept of resting on certain days is indeed Kemetic and African proper in origin.

Various priests and priestesses took time off for a day of personal refinement and meditation. The day chosen was dependent upon which NETERU was acknowledge by that priesthood.

If you were a priest/ess under AMEN, then you would take SUNDAY off. If you were under HET-HERU, you would have taken THURSDAY.

I hope this serves to answer your questions, if not I would be happy to elaborate further.
