    IMPOSTOR

People turn, smiles fill the room.
Love is felt flowing through the air.
He's marveled by my beauty, his glance
at me, takes my breath away. Our hearts filled
with joy, total trust and commitment.

    Those wonderful words are said,
I do and sealed with a kiss
    The love is so strong,
    we've found our soulmate

He sleeps, I stare into his face,
    thoughts rush into mind,
Who is this man I lay beside?
    Once so close now distant,
    an impostor I am with.

    Joked, laughed, kissed, hugged,
    fuss and frown, barely touch,
    an impostor I am with.

    Soulmates become inmates sentenced to
unpleasant times. an impostor I am with.
Passinate lovemaking now a chore, nothings left,
    an inpostor I am with.
Things we used to do nolonger the same,
    everything seems so routine.

Someone I loved and thought I knew well,
somehow became an impostor to me.
I stuggle for some familiar signs
of the man I once knew,
recalling none, I'm feeling so blue.
This must be separation before its
    true.
    Maybe I'm an impostor too?

    reality check...

relationships require constant attention. if we get reLAXed in our involvement, we eventually take for granted, or neglect, our significant other. some call it growing apart. others call it falling out of love. in actuality, it's falling down on your responsibility to the other member of the relationship...growing lazy and not wanting to work to maintain excitement within the relationship.

your words reek of the REAL.

    let the river flow.

    peace.

Reas, Honestly that's how it happened. One day I thought, hell he's probably feel~n the same about me. I guess that's called understand~n the other person's position.

    well for one

i know you're not the imposter
people who get together at 20 are different when they hit 30 things change
    or maybe even sooner

sounds like the imposter is off his game

might have to send him to my boot camp
    to get back fire

    So'ja

That's true, I'm not the person I was at 18 and yes he was the one who became an impostor to me. I still don't know who he has become.:D
Thanks for offering the use of your boot camp facilities, but its too late for that. However, I'll give that suggestion to his next wife should he take one.:D

So'jo, I thank you for you kind words.
