One of our Beloved Brothas in the Afrikan Diaspora sent me this - I felt I should share it with the Family.

My thing with this is - if Black folks are going to begin to build a solid Economy, then Our People in Business seriously need to look at and around the Communities. Furthermore, we need to COMMUNICATE! I do better when I am in Business with someone I know than someone I do not know, especially when we are in the same neighborhood!

We need to hold classes teaching Black Business Owners how to reach our People, and attract Our People.

Lastly - about the Asian folk - to be honest, if I was a 'Conscious' Businessman, and I was REALLY sick and tired of Chinese folks taking our Dollars via 'Economic Violence,' then I would build a consensus in the Community, and focus on having ALL NON-AFRIKAN-OWNED ESTABLISHMENTS removed from my Neighborhood.

    I agree completely.
I'm not going to lie I buy non- black because black business is not plenty here.
However when I see a brother on the street selling cd's towels, shirt, socks I buy at least half of what he has.
Also in the mall there is this AFRICAN booth and I try to buy there as much as possible.
I know black businesses is more expensive but we have to be!
What I would like to find now is a black owned nail salon.
There are plenty of barbeshops and beauty shops owned by us but all of the nail shops are asian owned.
I luv to get my nails, feet done so where do I go that's black owned?:?:
I have read some parts of this article before.
It's so very true about the foods we eat.
My question is how do we change our taste buds?
    Great article sistah
