this piece pops into my head whenever football season starts..

imagine that.

powerful stuff you've laid out here, skuderjaymes...to dare us to look beyond our SELFish aimes and imagine the power within the strength of our breath...to test the cords that bind us as ONE...to gather our sons...our family...our friends, into one accord. ONE PEOPLE.

Imagine if we,
replaced them superbowls with Futurebowls and crowned our kids champions,
and wrote new definitions for the alley-oop and the give-and-go..
put the energy we use for remembering the MVP of 1983
into each one, teach one to succeed.

Imagine what we could be, as a people, as a nation, as a new African society
if only we could imagine that..
