My thoughts are like a blood bank
    For those with hemophilic brains
    That can't understand or maintain
Bloody thoughts of a not so distant past
Of Black men and women getting backs lashed
    -their souls slashed
    With their faces smacked
In these days all we do is laugh
    Acting like sh*t didn't happen
    Sh*t did happen
    Stop acting like it didn't
While the truth is being hidden
    We're all about forgiving
    You see,
    History is really His-Story
    And not Our-Story
Of how sh*t was horrible and gory
Ever since they took us from Afrika
    Now I'm askin ya
    To look inside yourself
    And wake your soul
    Tell it to rebel
    By ringing bells
    To wake old souls
    -New souls
    Who can take control
    And give us some backbone
So we will no longer fold
    Now listen to the wind
    Listen to it sing
Feel the power that it brings
Brings all the way from the west coast of Afrika
The winds are singing to fight it
I'm scared, I don't want to fight it
    But I know there's been a wrong
So I have to write it
My life is really a message
And I got to recite it
    To all the masses
So we can craft this life we've been given
Make people pay for all their sinning
    Against our community
    They're going to lie
Say we're just throwing a mutiny
    But truthfully
    We're just being revolutinary
    It's ironic you see
Because they did the same thing
Then said all men were created equal
    But that didn't equal us
`Cause the color of our skin gives them disgust
    We have proof to that
When they shoot at us 41 times
And the first bullet pierces our back
They tell us to go back to work
    And sit in our cubicles
    Which are really cub-cells
No matter how hard they try
This phony life just ain't going to sell
    I'm going to rebel
Fight them all the way back to hell
But I can't do it alone
    -you can't do it alone
    We need each other
    Please stand beside me
    I besiege thee
    To help me
    Fight the good fight
    To reclain our destiny
But first we got to stop hating each other
    -Killing each other
We need to respect one another
    -Love one another
This isn't ink on the page
    This is my blood
That's why the letters are red
    My feelings are red
    Red Hot
Because too many think a lot
    And not act a lot
The second guessing got to stop
Or I'm going to bleed to death
As long as there's a fight to fight
I'm going to fight my best
    I'm obsessed with victory
    When we win
    I'm going to re-write His-Story
    To Our-Story
So it can tell the truth
    The whole truth
    And nothing but the truth
    So help them GOD!

    So real ...SayWord

Call the bones of sprits past. Summing them up to right at last. The toil and blood spilled in their name. Stop this day to day refrain. Of it's OK it was the past. I carry the marks in my mind. In my stride. In the way I ride this horse called life. Help me be the one to say. Change I agree must come what may. When they dug in Manhattan to build the monuments of a new Greece. They moved the corpses and bones to the side. Disturbing restful peace. Maybe the bones had never settled. I don't think a grave you should meddle. So the sprits haunt the land. Clouding those who had a hand. Covering the relations of generations for ever and ever.

SPEAK MY FATHER. Bones of you. Tell me... tell me true. What would you have me do. Be just. Fair in your wrath right the day, account the past. Blowing in the wind. I hear you.
