So many times I get angry at how hard it is
2 be a blak man in this wilderness.
Becoming so blinded by my own struggles
that I fail 2 realize the plight of my sister.
Born into this land with 3 strikes against her...
It's gotta be hell bein' a blak woman in a society
where you're judged by race, class, & sex.
Where you're oppressed by the oppressed.
My sisters don't recieve a fraction of the respect due
4 bein the strong blak woman she is.
She's been savagely ravaged by b@stards who said
they were less than animals...
But believed in the supreme humanity of our Queens
when they felt extremely sexual.
And forsaked his own.
We cringed as we watched from the corner,
afraid 2 make him leave U alone.
Yet, we call y'all b!tches.
I ask 4 infinite forgiveness & live my life in continuous repentance
2 my sistren who've been sentenced 2 live as a 3rd class citizen...
Removed from her children & forced 2 walk billions of steps
2 be a servant 4 white men & women.
My Queen, I apologize 4 everytime I gazed upon U with lust-filled eyes
& saw U only as a form of release.
I'm sorry 4 planting my seeds & retreating, leaving U needing
the other piece 2 complete we...the family.
Please forgive me 4 making U feel less than a woman
by raising my hand cuz I was offended by something U did or said.
U deserve much more than that.
U are the thread which holds the fabric of our Nation intact.
My regal, blak Queens,
U are the epitome of blak strength.
Due 2 the views your beautiful brown eyes have seen
& the ideas your glorious mind conceives...
I'm overwhelmed by your ability 2 be the nurturing Earth
our Nation's seeds need.
Without U, sister, our Nation wouldn't exist.
Which is why I insist on glorifying U 1 degree less than the Almighty.
I bow before U cuz U are true Afrikan royalty.
And my loyalty remains with U, til the day after eternity.
