I currently live in Southern California and have seen the affects of illegal immigration in our communities. Black men and women especially in los angeles county have a hard time finding employment because of this. Not only due to language barriers but racism does play a factor as well. Hispanics usually tend to only hire other hispanics and alot of jobs now require you to speak spanish. Yes, learning a new language is a good thing but its not realistic to expect our inner city youth to all learn spanish in order to be able to compete for employment. There has also been several hate crimes committed against black people at the hands of Hispanics and illegals, some of which result in the murder of innocent (non gang related) black people. There have also been instances of firebombing and other forms of intimidation. My question to you all is why do black Americans support democrats that enable more illegal immigrants to come here? When black communities suffer the most from this, I’m having a hard time understanding why more of us don’t speak against it.

i have always spoke about the job loss to immigrants.
i support the democrats because they are less racist than the republicans.
we have an opportunity to make our voices heard.

Should we vote for someone because they're "less racist" though? When they invite immigrants over that are just as racist if not more than some republicans.

How are Blacks enabling (illegal) immigrants?

Personally, i don't condsider anyone crossing the border to come to this Country to be my business.
i live in Metro Atlanta among many immigrants of different nationalities. Not all are Mexicans. I do have a problem with Mexicans being singled out as though they are the only (illegal) immigrants.
Our first house in Atlanta was next door to a Mexican family. I noticed when new relatives arrived. Not my business. They were like living next door to my own body guards. Be nice to me, i be better for you.
I support being bilingual. Here in Metro Atlanta both languages are offered at community college for a very low cost. Knowing more than one language pays well. Ive only had positive experiences with immigrants.

Voting on just one issue, racism, will continue to be our downfall politically and economically. No, we should not just vote for the people who are less overtly racist over and over while their policies grind our people's present and future well-being into the ground. We should at least make them work for our vote, beyond giving us election year church appearances and lip service to our issues.
