Title: Ignore Him or Adore Him?
What do teens, most seek after in this world?
Love, Drugs or the diamond and the pearl?
No satisfaction whatsoever, their future looking so slim,
Solution just in reach, yet they choose to ignore Him.
Day by day, the weed, John did sniff,
Illegal substances he selling, like the coke and the spliff
Lots of money, buying love from Tiffany, Jackie and Kim,
But yet, John ain’t complete and choose to ignore Him.
Everynight when the lights are out, the tears them flow,
Sally feeling trap, no where to turn or go.
Six months pregnant, no parents, no Tim,
And the only real man she need, she just ignore Him.
Every weekend, “Dee-Dee” selling she soul, “just for a little change”,
Yet her promiscuous ways and wayward life, she won’t rearrange.
To any man, she giving of her body, soul, spirit, some may even say she skin,
The only lover she could ever want, like the rest, she too ignore Him.
Right after school, you should see Ray nearly break he knee,
Just to get infront the television to watch B.E.T.
Sucking-in his ‘role models’, the girls and the shiny ‘bling-bling’
The man, from which all blessings and riches over-pouring,
Ray can’t see them, so choose to ignore Him.
So to John, Sally, “Dee-Dee” and Ray,
And all those who may be reading this poem out there,
Only one man, Jesus Christ, can fill you full of love and your soul set to win,
So why don’t you stop the neglecting and just choose to Adore Him.
