Black Spirituality Religion : Ifa Speaks Against Whites in ATRs

These white folks mixing Vodun up with Wicca and whatever else...

Nonc, I couldn't pull it up but I know you ain't lying. There are a lot of transgendered and satanic white folks pushing Vodou these days. They are also pushing New Orleans Voodoo and trying to claim rootwork (hoodoo). It is a thriving community of these culture vultures.

African Americans are going back to the traditions and one of the main focuses is on bloodline. Some of us are even going back to Africa to bring back obscure traditions that we have in our blood. The ancestors are making that happen as it is not just Yoruba, Vodoun, Akan or Bakongo anymore that is available. Bori and Ndepp plus Komo are coming over now. I suspect more as more AAs hear the call of the ancestors. I plan on finding more about Bateke traditions and those of Equatorial Africa. I have some Bateke and Equatorial spirits around me and they have been vexing me recently.

Sorry but I posted the wrong link then went back and changed it.

This is good to know. It's unfortunate that many Africans at home don't know much about their own bloodlines. For example, earlier this year I was contacted by a brother from Guinea on FB. He had been checking out some of my posts for awhile and decided to invite me to a group. He doesn't know much about his Fula ancestry and had been encouraging me to publish some of the material I shared with him. I did some further research and think his family was initiated into the Poro society. His last name is Bah. This is what I found. http://www.sierraleone365.com/society/chance-encounter-with-secret-society-changed-a-vendors-lot

I did not share this with him yet. In regards to Ndepp, is that related to the Lebou? I remember discussing them with you awhile back in regards to the Wolof and Senegal? Given the large number of our ancestors from Senegambia region this would make sense, what you stated above. I am trying to save up to get over to Senegal and Ghana. I don't know if I will make it hopefully will before it's too late.

It is unfortunate but you do a mighty good work. I have nothing but great respect for you. You are definitely a scribe or griot and our collective ancestors work strongly through you. We definitely have to collaborate offline. I am willing to learn.

Yes, the Ndepp system is based in Senegal among the Lebou people. I think Africa has much to give us if look in the right places. I just want to make things available for our people if they need it.

I think the traditions hold value for us. It is not about advancing one over another but providing options and perhaps creating a coherent tradition that speaks to our specific needs as the people over here. One that encompasses the whole of our origins, our unique experience and honors and celebrate our story to empower us and serve as a reference point.
