Black People : If your son brother or nephew hated on dark skinned black women like this what would you do?

Let's just say, he would never be welcome at Thanksgiving or xmas dinner for my entire extended family

.

Although I couldn't afford to gift everyone I'd run into with this, but in this case, he'd definitely receive a copy, for sure:):

It's obvious that you are extremely talented as a writer. So why not take those enormous gifts two steps further. You and your co-authors write an entire book on "colorism" and organize public workshops on "color bias" to bring awareness understanding and hopefully a change of attitude that will transform people and free them from color bias.

Best selling author Dr. Marita Golden organizes workshops on colorism

You and your co-author friends are just as talented as she is and the three of you could also try to reach the general public
like she does.
You know it was Dr. Golden who penned that;
"colorism is the most unacknowledged and unaddressed mental-health crisis in communities of color
around the the world. We speak of the color complex as a problem as an issue but it's negative emotional
impact on people of all hues is so serious that it needs to be called what it is- a disease.

Think about it with a world afflicted with colorism there can never be too many men and women out and about
working to bring it to an end

Thank you for the accolades and words of kindness, nilevalley ...

If you listen to the initial words of Dr. Marita Golden from the video, below, my first book: Does Color Matter, does go two steps further on so-called color-ism:

"Well, I think we are all familiar with Color-ism, because its a global phenomenon, whether you are growing up in Cairo, Baltimore, Jerusalem or Jacksonville, the global belief system that says that your value, your intelligence, your superiority, your beauty is heighten, is increased the more you look in a manner that is associated with a European way of looking ..."

So, over the years, many have told me they found comfort and victory from the words in the book.

In the article you presented, Golden says this
:

"... During the tumult and triumph of the activism of the 1960s, as a student on the campus of American University, I got black and loud and proud, and overcame my color complex. More recently, several years ago when I wrote“Don’t Play in the Sun One Woman’s Journey Through the Color Complex”(Doubleday), a book about colorism and its global impact ..."

And so did I, as others will have to do through self introspection and reliable reading materials.

But even more profoundly, she states this:

"... Google “color complex” and you will see impressive evidence of the vigorous Internet debates and discussions on this topic, such as the July essay from Vibe Vixen about a light-skinned girl whose blackness is questioned and an Allvoices.com essay from 2010 about the color complex crippling African Americans ..."

This site, Destee.com, plays a huge role in the discussion and conversation on racism, colorism and much more, on the Internet:
