I order to get anywhere I think black people are going to have to stop believing in things based on faith. The only way to emancipate ourselves, to get everyone out of poverty and not just a few is through science.

Vampires fear the cross; because their teeth are false. Anyone dying from a vampire attack was because they were laughing so hard from being gummed. Faith is what motivates us to go get a job, get up in the morning that we will survive the day, and that there is more to existence than just man's limited science. I'm not sure faith motivates you to get a job, get up in the morning or survive the day, its what you know. You would also hope that decisions affecting you are not based on faith. You’re hoping that doctors do not work on faith but knowledge or that your car was not made on the faith that it works and is safe. Imagine you applied for a job and instead of choosing the person based on the qualifications presented they choose someone on faith.

I will agree there is more to life than science like art, music, history and culture which are all very important. If you look at black people as a hole from Africa to American you have to agree, with all the problems we have it is not to our advantage to believe in things like religion which clearly offers false answers if any at all.

Science informs us about the natural world, what we do with the knowledge is up to us. So that using science you can find out what butter and smart balance butter are made of and the effects of these chemicals and or compounds on the human body. Then depending on whether you want to get fatter or increase your chances of getting a heart attack you can make an informed decision.
