    Peace and Blessings Family,

If complaining about what others are or are not doing, made world leaders, we'd be leading the world.

We are great at this. This position, complainer, takes no skill, training, years of study, great effort, nothing ... just open your mouth and complain.

Unfortunately, it takes more to be a leader ... and many of us are satisfied with the privilege of complaining ... :bye:

The enemy of any form of opression are those who do complain!

and of these great people of black history basicly all we realy have togo by ,
    is thier complaints, for instance

It was the complaints of Dred Scott, that helped abolition and the complaints of Frederic Douglas

It was the complaints of Carter G Woodson that gave young black people focus

It was the complaints of Marcus Garvey that inspired millions of Africans around the workd to unite against a common opresion that they did not recoginize, before his complaints

It was the complaints of Elijah Muhammed that inspired folks to seek to do for self rather then stay in the illusion of being dependant on an entirely diffrent group for everything

It was the complaints of Malcolm X that made black folks all over the planet relaize that thier struggle , was common from the liberation struggles in Africa, to the struggle for human diginty and self defense right here

    And Dr Martin Luther King

has this day April 4th 2011,

as the commemoration of the day he was

executed for the crime of complaining

    about the war,
about the economic disenfrachisement of the Black commmunity
and the unfair and derogatory treatment of sanitation workers

As far as who became political leaders by complaining?

    Hitler; complaining about the Jews
Queen Victoria, and colonization; her complaint about the white man's burden to "civilize us"
Pinochet in Chile and his complaint about the Communist threat
Ronald Reagan and his complaint about poor Black folks and his complaint about the communist threat
George Bush senior and his complaint about a lack of "democracy " in the wolrd and his desire to spread it
    (in his own image)
George Bush Jr second term , his complaint about the terroist threat
Barrack Obama; the public's complaints about Bush where his entire ticket

Brother Ankhur ... are you suggesting that your name should be listed among those mentioned above, because you are all complainers?

    That's a bit delusional i think.

Those you named were not satisfied with just complaining, they DID SOMETHING to change things.

That's why you're mentioning them now, because they made notable impacts on history.

If you're on their same path ... please continue ... for you'll probably be a world leader, history changer like those above, in no time.

    Love You!

I guess you would benefit from listening to the president;s famous father's day speech, about Black men.

As I recall he did not say anything different then what Ronald Reagan had been saying about us

And to be honest James from Phillie you have been complaining about me since I was Putney Swope, in fact my second week here you complained about me not posting solutions,
not an accusation, it's in the archives for any one to see.

I had assumed that this was a general post and if any one has noted, my posts are basicly cut and pastes, of facts about this person or facts about that person, and never have I complained about any one ,
    just asked questions.

In a court case a person provides evidence and allows the jury to make the decisions

Destee it is interesting that the 23 posts that I have made here about the things I have done, the things I have accomplished and the organizations I have worked with and the things I still do

you are now saying that I am liar?
why are the capital letters addressed to me personaly?

And it is also interesting that when solutions and brainstorming postive methodlogies to heal the Black community, are posted,
no one seems to read those things or apreciate them

You know Harriett Tubmam said she freed alot of slaves,
but she could have freed more if they only knew they were slaves

Hw did she know they did ot know they were slaves?
Or what made her think that?

Becuase they were the only ones that did not complain about thier situation.

So does a person have to be an expert at something to say when they see something wrong?

Or to speak out when they see corruption in government, that they pay taxes for and then get abused by?

All through the period of Jim Crow
from reconstruction to the late 50s
, we were told to keep our mouths shut, dont complain about racism,, and be compalecent little negros

What is the purpose of freedom of speech in a democracy and why is there no freedom of speech in a dictatorship?

And what is this stuff about leadership?

Why is it strange or bizzare for a Black man to have a concern and care for his people?

and a desire for the general good of the race?

    why the labels?

    Leadership to me is...
    1. exemplary character
    2. enthusiasm
    3. confidence
    4. purpose
    5.commitment to excellence
    6.analytical skills
    7. the ability to remain calm, tolerance of ambiguity and opposing views.

I know sistas and brothas that exemplify these qualities...I think we all do. Most are not even well known... just normal everyday African people doing what they can to better conditions for all of us.

Not saying im any of these..LOL..but im workin on it.
