So the latest white actor has none of the appeal as the best actors who played the same role?

    LOL

No disrespect, but just penciling us in is white mainstream politics, and doesn't add up to what we need and should want, as in real equality between whites and nonwhites...

    No, sir: boss!

I can see why it would seem out of place to some degree.

Similar to a "white guy" with a mo-hawk playing the role of B. A. Baracus in another remake of the A-Team

Or a "black" Daddy Warbucks from Annie
    [IMG]

    Or an "Asian" Superman

    This is nothing new

There has never been a "black Moses" in the folklore that has been presented from screenwriters.
If so, it has been overlooked... other than the attempt from The Color of the Cross, which tries to insert that narrative.

    • B.A. Baracus has always been a brother
    • Batman has always been another
    • Superman has always been another

The only variations have been those of the likes of Green Lantern, but of course this is from Comics

Being that "James Bond" is a moniker that exists like the moniker of "The Temptations" or "Dr. Who", I can see playing around with variations just for the sake of attention.

A "black" Dr. Who would be interesting as well.

Revisionist takes on classic movies abound in today's Hollywood...

Such is meant to confuse and dumbfound us all...

Instead, I respond with a sensahumor, aka the revised Mummy movies, which at least had somebody else playing the roles, (as in Arab looking actors etc.) and some white takes weren't flattering to our ancestors true legacies, to begin with!

    I. e., it was the wealth and power which mattered or mattered, first and foremost: Though however in awe of those things some were or are, they blurred the distinctions between their takes on African mysticism etc. and/or our educators and scholars etc.

Such was and is no different, when it comes to our folk, any and everywhere else...

    FYI

Some did and do feel as well as believe even the Last (Black) Poets were and are tripping:

"The White Man (on the top) Has a God Complex!"

Check out the latest TV shows and movies: And can you dispute it nowadays?

    I kinda sorta doubt it...

    I. e., such are case studies of deep seated pyschosis ad naseum, in the midst of their own dealings with people of color, via high or low places/spaces/etc.

Also now you can too easily realize why it took a black shrink to sort it out for us all...

    Aka Franz Fanon...
