I know my head is going to get whacked off for this, but I am going to it out there. I have seen a lot of ideology and rhetoric paraded on Destee. I am guilty of it myself, even recently.

    What do you all think?

Unrestrained Pan-Africanism is the chief ideology of many Destee members.

I got you brother. I don't see that as an ideology so much as a necessity. I think, and this could be my "ideological stance", the virtues of us harnessing our economic power as consumers to build and grow the economic engines in our communities are beyond ideology.

Ideology for me would be a set of beliefs, generally not yet proven to be accurate or completely accurate, where the adherents have some deep set emotional investment that prohibits them from seeing or considering other or alternative points of view or perspectives.

    Okay Blackbird,

What is the stone in your shoe this time?

What does "considering other or alternatives" mean exactly?
For instance, when if I gave some serious consideration to whatever and
after which, I ain't interested. I dismiss it. Am I wrong for
    that?

Open minded does not mean to accept everything. So what
    are we talkin'bout here?

Is there a standard 'filtering' mechanism or paradigm
    we should follow?

Not much as far as a stone in my shoe brother. I was just a recollection on somethings.

I was just looking back on some threads about priorities and needs, things we thought we could get accomplished in the short term, but I got bogged down with less suggestions and more debates that offered no suggestions.

Some of the threads I started were to gain ideas and thoughts from the Destee "community". However, when people wanted to debate who is smartest, things kind of fell apart. I came back to get perspective. There are some things a few people and I realistically want to do. I was looking for input.

People who decry others' ideologies are usually ideologue integrationists/assimilationists, i.e., don't cut me out white America, cut me in and let me build some businesses and make some money.
