    I Made Him Leave
    By Monad.poetress

    I made him leave
    Finally I did
I made him leave even though we have a kid
    He hurts me so
    And he had to go
and I cry because he's gone

I made him pack everything he had
It made me cry....it made him mad
And even though our love was gone
I still feel as if I did him wrong

My son can't sleep his dads not here
I can't sleep without him near
So I cry....even though I made him leave
I made him leave and now I grieve

I could not stay with him anymore
So I gently showed him to the door
And even though he's not a good man
My son needs him to hold his hand
    So my son sits alone
    And so do I
We do it separately....but we both cry

I know its best that he stays away
But maybe he can come back one day
    Maybe he'll be better
And maybe my son won't have to cry
I made my son tell his father goodbye

A sad reality so beautifully written. One can almost see this poem as a "picture show" while reading each line. Thank you so much for sharing your work on this stark reality.

Hard to say goodbye even when it's for the best, I'm sure there are some good memories, intertwined in the bad. It will get better. Feeling this one.
