I think it's important to note that the descendants of Slavers are European but also African. You could say that they are blood brothers in a way.
I remember a guy I knew many years ago from South Carolina named Cuthbertson.. his family lived in the same town as the family that owned them during Slavery. Not only did they live in the same town and carry the same name, they actually resembled each other. That combined with the complexion of the older people in their family suggests that they have a shared lineage.
I did some writing around this some years ago.. where I ask: "which would you rather be: the son of the raped, or the son of the rapist?"
what about both? Which way does the Karma flow?.. will you pay for the sins of your rapist father?.. even though the victim was your mother?
It really is a difficult/complicated predicament.. and I can see how it gives way to a particular kind of self-loathing. The Rapists blood raises your status.. the rapists blood gave that yellow girl "good hair" and made her the Bell of the Ball. So should she hate it or love it? The more white you were the more right you were.. the more economically viable you were.. the more socially acceptable/desirable you were.. whereas children born out of love who bore dark skin were considered the bottom of the barrel.. so.. what good was love? It appeared that rape was some sort of social blessing.. imagine the impact of that mindfu##.
