The only time were together it seems
Is in my dreams
MIles apart
But never closer
Then when I'm asleep
Warm in my bed
We danced under the moonlight
Walked across sandy beaches
Floated down the streets of Venice
We would go wherever my dreams would take us
He spoke to me in my dreams
So that when I awoke
It was he that was on my mind
His face etched into my subconscious
His scent as fimiliar to me as my own
But now he is within my reach
WIth hopeful desire that what I'm living right now is not a part of my night's dream
I pinch myself to make sure that I'm awake
It is now my reality
I no longer have to dream
Dreams are for those afraid to just live
I will not dream anymore
They are not for me
Because right now I have everything I could dream of
