he pulled up to the most expensive hotel in town with five (5) buses and went on in.
left the buses parked in the street.

we headed on out to Malcolm X park in west Philadelphia where they were having African unity day.
they had the black Israelites and the NOI and the Christians and the Muslims and the Rastas and every body else chilling and munching on fish sandwiches.

    together.

the featured act was the Last Poets.
they were selling CDs out the trunk of their big old car.
i bought one for a dime.

made me think, who is really keeping it real?

I just thought about something, those black hebrew israelites that you are talking about have caused all types drama, in New York I heard they are known for standing on street corners calling white people devils, the anti-christ, and are pretty much compared to the KKK. The NOI have been known for saying some contraversial stuff too, similar to them.

    what you say is true.
they have been known to call white folks a bunch of names.
but yesterday they/we were all TOGETHER in the park.
no body was calling anybody anything.
all the different black groups were just chilling together.
    the music was good.
little kids were running all over.
    no swine no where.

we need to do more of that.

    Sounds like Heaven...

I think this thread needs to be posted in the Spirituality/Religion forum....
This is the way it SHOULD be amongst our people.

Yeah James but everybody knows rappers aren't paid to be peaceful, agreable, and fun loving people. That could destroy their image if they were caught being civil while spending time with family or friends. I'm surprised that Will Smith is still trying his rap thing out, he is suppose to have a reputation for being a positive, family oriented guy, and I think that the only reason he still around is because he acts.
