I don't wanna have a mental shutdown
I wanna have a mental time-out

I wanna shut out the world
and just get lost
put the stereo on
take the phone off the hook~
give me John Mellancamp
screaming "hurt so good"
just turn up the volume
til I can't hear a word

I wanna drink
some exotic cocktail
and wear some
slinky little black dress~
no shoes
hair let loose
and red, red lips~
and paint my nails silver

I wanna lay around
like the Queen of Sheba
stretched out on some
pale cream chaisse lounge
nibbling on chocolate truffles~
doin nuthin
but takin' it easy

just for a little while
I wanna act a little crazee
just for a little while
I wanna be just a part of me
