Bitter breakups and I'm still strong.
Slaps in my face and still I turn the other cheek.
Powerful,
Resilient,
Mortal and still standing.
The rains fell in torrents,
my roads became too slippery to travel on;
my view was obscured by vague hazes.

Still I told my story.
Still I stood.
Timeless and pulsating with life and
Determination….
Determination,
and a refusal to let obstacles and tribulations
fester.
They may pester;
don’t step to me, hear my kats purr,
I am weakness deferred.

I rise, like a butterfly;
it puts you in mind of Mr. Ali, Oh, my bad; Casius.
The winds beat me down and the storm upheavals my earth,
still my God gives me Beauty for Ashes,
in this life, I may take ten lashes;
that turn into ten blessings.
You can’t destroy my yin or yang;
In fact trials and tribulations can’t even dictate
or play this game.
Through it all I stand!
