Black Poetry : I Still Miss Her

Can't stop thinking of her

she entered my life just a few years ago

and though we both had our own worlds

we connected

created

new inspirations

and creations

now time has passed

and my greatest fear has come to pass

for we have drifted

shifted into other areas

I wonder if she ever knew

that I truly

loved her

she was my destiny

but I guess even destiny

is not always absolute

Now my spirit has returned

to its world of lonliness

with no one to connect with

no thoughts

no inspiration

not even a sound

just the humming of silence

as I sit back on the Sea called Love

watching

and missing

her

I sure do miss him
My missing puzzle piece
Our connection made a complete picture
that made all the world's beauty increase

Woke up singing a song
Went to sleep humming one too
We sang in two part harmony
Making melodies like songbirds do

But now it hurts to remember
the songs we used to sing
I try to forget him, but
his image appears in everything

I sure do miss him

Hope you don't mind the flowback. This was well felt poet, well felt.

the original mac

glad your back man

love reading your work

you have a way writing where a guy can feel your work too

feel me playa

the one you miss would love this too

A writer's loss of inspiration...

can be as unpleasant as a stream of sunless days

For me, sometimes its awkward to say a piece that stirs
sad emotions, is beautiful. But that’s exactly what this
piece is, sad, yet beautiful! I hope your paths cross again
to rekindle mutual inspirations.
