Black Poetry : I see....

[Twofish]

I see a thousand things that I could be
or which society infringes upon me
but through it all I remain untainted, unstained.
A mystery but so simplistically realistic
I see others stroll by as if on a mental high...
far away from the ground they fly
I wonder why
so many cannot tolerate the chains that sustain us on this plane...
why we escape to the place where the Etheric reigns...
Enduring pains upon pains and savage games
where despicable beings gain off of our grief
in disbelief sometimes while I'm tryin to stay alive.
I just write a rhyme to kill the whispers in my ear that combine my own fears with the fears of the world and I hear nothin
but the pitiful cries of my ancestors...
shining from heaven, sendin blessings down to provide
the sustenance I need to go on in pride...

I know in time the reflection will be here

I know in time the mystery will re-appear

I know in time the legacy will unwind

but until then I'm gone be chillin with a nickel or dime
releasing my mind stresses
feelin the God connection
preachin the life lessons
street questions
the undeniable message
that though we see the hell
and think we feel it closin in...it's just an illusion

Step out of confusion to see that we are Divine

Step out and use the talents which are inscribed in your mind

Step out and shine.............
