    I see
    A future
    Made up of
    Past and present
    Revelations
    Of an infantile nation
    With all its children (states)
    In turmoil

    Would there were more
    Could there be more

    I see
    Yesterdays
    Down Mississippi ways
    When victims of
    Jim crow’s bigotry said
    “Lift my spirit up
    And all the muck
    Messing up my day
    Will fall away.”

    I see
    Little ones crying
    And older ones sighing
    Coz teenagers be buying
All the crap laid down before them
    Like hemp (marijuana)
    Methamphetamines
    Crack cocaine
    And all the games
    The system has in store
    (For them)
    Black
    White
    Brown
    It doesn’t matter
    Coz the maddhatter
    Be wearing his hat
    Backwards
    Today
    …This ackward situation
    Gotz me stressing and fussing
    (Ova) nothing

    I see
    The world
    Martin dreamt of
    When he spoke of
    Equality amongst the races
    And all the faces
    Racism has
    Scarred

    I see
    The injustices
    Decried by all
    …The big and the small
    And tall tales
    Your neighbor tells
Just so he can be heard

    I see
    A world
    …where a man isn’t judged
On the color of his skin
But the content of his character

    That was Martin’s dream
    A world I see
    In a not-so-distant future
    In this land of liberty

    I see
    Neighborhoods
    Where no one worries about
    “The no good”
    Coz there AIN’T none

    I see
    A day
    Reflective of yesterday
When we didn’t have to lock our homes
When a woman could walk down the street
    ALONE
    (At any hour)
    Where offers of help
    Would be the only
    Disruption
    She would face

    In any case

    I see
    A future
    “When the highest mountain
    And the smallest mole hill
    Is home to racial prejudice
    NO MORE”

    I see
    Biracial babies
    Becoming the
    “Most common baby”
    In all the land

    Please understand

    We’re a race-mixing people
    Man or woman
    It’s all equal
    A rainbow of colors
    Butter pecan sisters and brothers
    Loving one another

    We don’t want no trouble

    I see
    Safe zones, in
    Hushed…but sympathetic tones
    For the weak and afflicted
    …The homeless and infected
    And all the neglected (citizens)
    Who have no voice

    I see
    A choice
    Made so long ago
    That explains the depths
    Of a lonely soul

    (Whoa)

    I see
    Better days
    On information super highways
    And wholesome ways
To say what we need to (say)
…All kinda ways to be true
    To the things we say
    And what we do.

    I see
    Barrack
    As President
    With Hillary being
    Melodramatic
And the stage of a world
    He represents
    Standing tall for a cause
    With money well spent

    I see
    Birdy-bees
    In humming trees
    With bloomers being
    Deflowered
    And sensitive needs
    Avoiding release
    From the boom
    Of which others
    Cower

    I see
    The song
    The tambourine played
    Before the tambourine man strayed
    Into the world of
    (misbehaving)

    I see you.

So much beauty that you envision, quite an inspiring write, vividly posed.

our vision for a better tomorrow...

...must be all encompassing. if we can't see the WHOLE picture, we could be missing out on the complete results. in the end, we could be left hanging. DOES THAT WHOLE PICTURE INCLUDE EVERYONE? of course it does. we are not an isolated society, we interact with the world. and we must include the world in our VIEW.

THANKS FOR SHARING MY NOT SO PERFECT VISION.
