I RISE YOU IN THE NAME OF NUBIAN KING
    By Jacqueline Amos

Take my hands as I take you through,
the waterfalls of love, don’t look back,
I will be your eyes, and your fall,
through the rivers of the Nile,
    I will purify your soul,
never again shall you be lynched from the trees,
    castrations of a dream,
a legacy that will never be erased,
and defamed of your rightful place.

I will be the eyes that you may see,
I will be the breath when it is too hard to breath,
I will be the laughter when the world
brings you tears, I will be the bosoms
    of your resting place.
I sing of rebirth, I cry no victim song.
I know where my voice belong.
    Freedom cries, the battlefields,
shall never die, a legacy of a king,
    in his rightful place,
beware of those who come in his name,
    as I the Nubian Queen.

    I will be the ocean,
    laced with ebony cream,
sipping on the crowning of my king,
sensations the legacy of black pride,
deep within the hope chest of your lifeline.
    Mother Universe says rise,
I rise you in the name
    of the Nubian King,
and there shall be none as you.
Thou who come in falsehood of a king,
shall never tarnish the garment you where.

    Sweet taste of freedom,
    the sounds of the lost,
sings the sounds of the drums,
    600,000 walked the path,
Crowned with Gold upon there head.
The legacy of the ancestral march,
    the angel sings, don’t worry
about a tang, every little tang is going to be alright,

See the lions roar, as they stand t
o the heavens, the paws of the warrior,
    whom live within,
    singing the almighty song,
    Freedom, Freedom, Freedom,
I cry of rebirth no victim song.

The crown that sits upon my king’s head,
the stroll that documents his great strength,
    I the Nubian Queen document
    the legacy of great kings.
    Courageous as the warrior,
    That walks upon the night,
    Mountains, villages,
    Ordained by God.

    What God has ordained,
    No man will erase.
    Metaphors, of a divine king,
    Sensations of his divine love,
    Lacing the history,
Sipping the life, of a legacy.

    I open the cipher,
The red carpet has been rolled out,
    For your great honor.
    Mama sings Africa, Africa,
    Africa, the drums beats,
    The ceremonies begin.

    The Nubian Queens,
Dance for the warrior of her dreams,
    The black man,
The legacy of Gods hopes and dreams.
