    I need a black man like I need a women’s touch
like roses laced with sweet songs of pitter patter down long
    San Francisco hallways

    I need a black man like I need a women’s touch
    Blue-Black, thick
    all confused and tied up
Shut lip, over hang in the hip
98th street style with a brief case

    I need a black man like I need a woman’s touch
Soft lips on fingertips of oppression
Dip in grandma’s special recipe of love
Like a tax-return on the day before you file

I need a black man like I need a women touch
Knitting together flying shadows of slave stories
    Drum rhythms in my footstep
    Kissed
    In my nearly
    grown women’s places
    the palm of my hand

    I need a black man like I need a women’s touch
In the place of what mother wants
And what my lioness yearns for
In the place of little girl diaries
    And secret locks
in the place where the heart meets that pillow
    And we grow
    I need a black man like I need a women’s touch

Not with sex laced ears of lust
I want a black man of intelligent status
    Respectable nature
    Friendly disposition
I need a black man to re-create the black family.

    I need a black man like I need a women’s touch
    with no preconceived notions
    or unfilled fan-tah-seas
Across ocean and pacific time space

    I need a black man like I need a women’s touch
    Like a holy revival
    Sistah-Gretchen-done-got-the-Holy-Spirit-I-need-a-black-man
Like I crave for a women touch

    I need balance
    Inner peace
    Spiritual journey
    Discovery
    I need a women’s touch
    Like the changing of time

    To be called

Nikki G is like revolution to my ears
I wrote a poem about her and what she has done for me ( which I will post one day)

    "I am lonely
    all alone
    in this room
    is that a fly?"
( above written by Nikki G)

    That is how I feel

I love that I get that kind of love from the family
    thank you
    modupe

    Love your girlchild Exodus-

Looking for a gentle, kind, compassionate soul, loved the way you posed this, your words have a way of sneaking up on the reader and capturing them.
