:eek:hmy: How I miss dancing with my pen.
When I knew where my words would start
    and where they would end.
The freeness of me and the sweetness of
    the ink flowing in carress.
Twirling with nouns and adjectives as I
shook my saltshaker to the thump of
    simlies and methaphors...
Dancing through windows in your mind
    and doorways to your soul.
    I was on a roll.

I miss dancing with my pen.
My long lost well loved friend.
    We embrace with our comfort
we know each other so well,
you even know when to dip when
the music of the poem starts to swell.
And the crescendo of our word momento
left more than impression I can tell.

I miss dancing with my pen.
When erotica had men off and on their
    feet, where sensuality and linguistics
meet, that sweet low funky beat.
Where homonyms lie with antonyms and
we use paraphrases to drive the beat
home licking the beat of the stringed
    instrument with venacular and ghetto
    heat.

I miss dancing with my pen.
When the muse trips the light fantastic
and the pen whips about bombastic
it's like magic, so eletric like the
storm flashing in the sky on a hot
    summer night, it's to dry...watch
    out for fire...this unleashed pen
    fills my hearts desire...to feel!!!

DAYUM! I miss dancing with my
    pen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gurl, Gurl, Gurl!!! I had to read this one several times. :book: Each time I read it I felt a swelling in my soul. You captured the spin that I just recently came off of. For several months I did not write anything because of a trial I was going through. But when the ice broke, boy did it really BREAK!

How I miss dancing with my pen.
When I knew where my words would start
    and where they would end.
The freeness of me and the sweetness of
    the ink flowing in carress.

Your entire work is a source of discussion for poets. My goodness, I apologize for not being able to fully express what this poem did to me as I read it. All I can truthfully say is

:jumping: Thanks For Posting Such An Astounding Piece Of Work! :jumping:

Thank you so much for readindg , relating and responding!

Sometimes it's good to know that someone else is going through the same thing , and a word of wisdom to those who think that they never will. Use it or lose it!
And if you have to take a break, don't wait too long to come back, it's very therapeutic!
Thank you for your enthusiastic response and kind words of encouragement.
    Blessings on your house!

What a reminder of what we have been missing without your words dancing across this forum. I really enjoyed this rhythmic expression of passion for writing.
