I made the choice to be the person I am today
I made the not to go to school to act up and be a fool
I made the choice to leave home because I knew I was grown
And I could make it on my own
I made the choice to do drugs
No one put a gun to my head I just did it because
I made the choice to drink
I didn't give a dam what the people think
I made the choice to sell the drugs to all the people I knew
    And even the thuggs
I made the choice to steal that car
It was a Benz It was the best by far
I made the choice to rob that store
I was living in the streets
    I was dam near poor
I made the choice to pull that gun on that old man
    Dam that was fun
I made the choice to pull that trigger
I put a cap right in that ******
I made the choice to take a life
What was I thinking that choice wasn't right
Now I am in jail for rest of my life as you can see
I have no more choices I am no longer free
They have taken my name away from me
    I am now 109983
So I say to you young people today
Make the right choices each and everyday

    Yours Truly,
    WRONG CHOICES

It’s simply amazing how in a world where accountability is a notion of the past someone in your position is still willing to point all fingers inward and offer no excuses. This is a truly noble and selfless piece, I hope all who read it are moved to change

    The mystery of our choices

That was deep. Thanks for sharing that. It's hard to believe that sometimes we screw our selves over in the choices we make, but also those are the lessons that we need to learn and grow. Nice flow.
