    I HEARD A ROBIN CRY

The morning I heard a Robin cry
her song was filled with despair
the brilliance of of her feathery coat
    was dull beyond compare

    She sung the saddest song
I never heard such a cry
she screeched with pain and hopelessness
The depth of her message undenied

She sung about Blacks in the Diaspora
    The black on black crimes

She sung about Blacks of the continent
    Tribe forsaking tribe

    She screamed no Unity
Then there will never be no peace
falling for the conquer and divide

On every note that she'd released
    It echoed in my mind

    CONQUERED AND DIVIDED!

    Cant you hear it?
    CONQUERD AND DIVIDED!

    Say it with me!
    CONQUERED AND DIVIDED!

    WITHOUT UNITY THERE
    WILL NEVER BE NO PEACE!
    CONQUERED.....AND.....DIVIDED!

    She rested her feeble claws
trembling as she perch on a limb neigh high
and just before she dropped down dead
    *she whispered in a sigh*

No matter where you rest your head
no matter the obstacles and trials
your existance will be of nothing
If of your Brother, you wont unite

    I heard a Robin cry....I heard a Robin cry...
The saddest song I ever heard
    Just before she died.
    :crying:

Speechless.....Poet, this was absolutely breathtaking, on so many levels. The image of the frail bird, weary from singing a tune that hardly any seem to hear. And the message, filled with sorrow, and brimming with truth, and resounding loudly...but is it loud enough? I can't say enough about the way this was conveyed. Bravo.

This was really beautiful, I especially liked how it ended

    I heard a Robin cry....I heard a Robin cry...
The saddest song I ever heard
    Just before she died.

It was symbolic for me. I really enjoyed this

    keep the flow goin
