sorry, i'm a newb and I don't have if this has been posted yet. but...
Don't you think the African American brothers and sisters should introduce or contribute aspects of African culture into American society and make this country more multicutural? I love African arts and music, and I'd like to see people practicing it in the U.S.
    -peace

Cedric Denson, thank you for your welcoming. And I totally agree with you. I think the African bros and sis need to break in and bring the beautiful African cultures. :toast:

The last thing the United States needs is to be more "multicultural".

We contributed the best of America's cultural paradigm

The essence of American social life, at its intrinsic core, is stolen from African Americans and other diasporic Africans historically.

I’ll make this response short…American culture is riding on the back of African American culture. We have historically put the salt, the pepper, all the sugar and spices into the “white bread” of American culture. Most Americans are in denial and can’t deal with our long history of contributions to their “so-called” cultured reality. There are many African attributes practiced and cherished by whites that either came from or was stolen from African American culture.

And remember, African American culture is also celebrated and emulated all over the world.

There are several threads here at Destee.com that deal with the historical African cultural contributions that have made America culture what it is. And guess what, I haven’t even began to deal with the inventions of African Americans that have changed the world…from the traffic light to the gas mask and so forth.

    Peace

    Brother Sun

Cedric, what do you mean that every culture is here but ours???????? Young brother, that is absurd... That is why I asked Destee to create THIS forum, my young brother... Please, sir, read the threads here-in, and understand that so-called American culture is OUR culture dressed up as theirs... Please, brother, read, read, read, and smell the coffee burnin' up in here...

    Peace!
    Isaiah
