He had a mouth full of game, said we would go far
Said he'd be right back and drove off with my car

And I ask myself why? why do I allow this?

The last one I was with, I thought was a need
He fought me and beat me and smoked up my weed
With my mom and my kids, he did show he cared
The cheating and ***-whoopin's, I just couldn't bare

And again I ask why? why do I allow this to happen?

Had another friend, a crack-head I suppose
Went to fix my water pump, but just painted the hose
He would talk to mean and say I was fat
He couldn't keep a job and I didn't like that

So I look to the sky and ask why?

OH! now I know why, it appears I forgotten
If I do what I'm doing, I'll get what I've gotten!

(It all makes sense)
