hey guys I'm new here,my name is Lizzie,I currently live in Europe.I'm from a white, blonde, blue eyed mother and black father.I have problems adapting both in the Black and White community. It's very depressing,I grew up to be insecure about myself, though my friends from school always said that I looked good and that I got the best genes from both races.I just dont fill in anywhere...my country is preety racist..either ure black, white or asian..what do I do?I have fair skin and light eyes...White people can identify some differencies between them and me...and because of that they just stare at me...I'm sick and tired of being seen as a freak...I really need some advice

what part of europe, what country of we speaking of

listen you need to grow some inner strength

and don't like these ignorant insignificant small minded people

    mess your day up

people WILL HATE YOU whoever you are makes no difference how nice you are

people will hate you know the ignorant insignificant small minded ones

i hope you can find what you're looking for

but in the mean time while you're looking

have fun and try to enjoy your life for what it is

and it doesn't make any sense to be miserable all the time

    as for your dilemma

learn both your "cultures" for what there are bring the BEST from the cultures

and be the best that anybody could be

and show the world who you are

    don't be defeated

    you didn't ask for this

    peace

    and good luck

anything they can't control makes white people nervous

    like life

    Welcome to Destee!!!!!!

Be confident and know thyself. It is you who is seeing the ' freak' they are just seeing you. If they saw someone beautiful to them would they not stare? They could be thinking ' she is so beautiful she is probably out of my league so I'm not gonna even play myself by getting to know her' who knows whats on their mind. Ppl are gonna give a second look to anything their senses are not familiar with, positive or negative. Let's not assume the negative. And even if their perspective is negative. Should it matter to you if someone has problem with the way you look? They are the one placing limitations on themselves. Next time someone stares remember it's cause they are staring at a 'Queen' not a 'freak'

(this works best when your belief is behind it. guaranteed. side effects are more friends, positive outlook, loss of self pity, brighter future and overall greatness)

:kickball: Peace and Welcome God's Daughter!

I understand you are a young multiracial woman, but what I'd like to know is how you choose to identify. Once you gain some clarity in that aspect, it's much easier to determine where you can find solace online and offline. For starters, you can make yourself at home and browse the forums... get acquainted with the community.

    http://destee.com/forums/index.php

If you don't find what you seek here, there are communities which address to multiracial issues such as:

    www.mulatto.org

    www.backintyme.com

    www.interracialvoice.com

    for starters.
