*just venting from the stresses of the day*

    *pay I no mind*

    I don't write for replies--
    I
    write because
    I need to
    I write because
    everyone has that 'thing'
that makes their world go 'round
    and my 'thing' is--
    scribe-singing--

*i just hope y'all be listenin'--

    I don't write for recognition--
I write because the world and I connect on--
    unspoken realms
    and just *living life*
wouldn't do my pen and pad justice...
    NOW WOULD IT???

I write because someone is lonely--

someone might wanna curl up and get comfortable next to one of my metaphors--
hold my similies close and relate...
    to the joys and ails--
    truths and sorrow--
    love and disgust--
    sunshyne* and thunderstorms...

    i don't write because i want to be a best-seller--
    i write because words--
    float about in my head--
    every 1.4 seconds--
all twenty years of my life...
    and i pull them down--
    i bleed--

    *liquified pencil lead--

    deep in my stare--
    you might see lined paper...

    i write because--
    i haven't a choice.

    PerfectlyPoeticSean....

<<<fist in da air... yellin'... "Write On, Poet!!"

    this was eloquent-ly expressed & i'm sure a
    number of us can relate!
personally, when i see a piece of me that has
    lets say 8 replies... & 50 hits... i smile :) ... the
reader might not have left something behind...
but i've been allowed to touch someone
with my sun-rhythms... & its a wonderful feelin'!

    ...and i write because
    ---because your spirit uplifts
    mine ...
    taking away the blues of
my inked mind and exchanging it
for the indigo'd entry in my
    journaled life
    consuming the beverage
    of words that are served
    as a poetic *high ball
    and sharing several
    glasses of lexical expressions
    with lemon and lime
    ...and i write because
    i want you to know
    a little something more
    about me....
    the side that many others
    don't otherwise get the
    opportunity to see
    i experiment with
    organized combinations
    and patterns of thought
    researching systems
    of words making sense
    of insignificance and
    trying to convey messages
    through a rambling
    excursion of synonyms
    that *live and *dwell
    forever within me
    ...and so i write
    as well as
    i read you...
    responding to my need
    to respond to your
    well versed passage --
    your scribed-sung composition
    shifted me N 2 a state of
    accented syncopation like
    Mozart's Symphony
    number 25
    and yet i write
    ...simply because
    .....i must

    thepoetsean,

Thanks for so eloquently articulating my feelings!! I feel the same way. To me, it's just like icing on the cake when someone takes the time to reply to whatever words I've posted, I'm just happy the Creator was generous enough to drop rhymes on me. It's an honor to share them, the replies are gravy!

    Well said!!

    I write because I am
    I share because we are

    We are brethren
Of a kindred spirit sometimes deep within

    Of a kindred spirit
    That makes us kin

I flow that that I know
I listen to you flow what you know

    Thanks for sharing
    so we all can grow

and I reply to let you know that your rain of knowledge
    has helped me grow
