Black Poetry : I Cried For You Last Night

I cried for you last night
yet you did not see me
but I felt your heart breaking
tasted the tear that flowed from your eyes
I'm here
you're there
yet I felt the pain that tortured you
love slipped through your fingers
and the agony has arrested you
and I cried
cried
for I know
what your desire is
I cried
because
I wish to be the one to kiss your soul
wipe away your tears
be the soothing balm applied to your heart
I cried for you
knowing that if you were mine
my every want and desire
would be that of you
thereby
pain could no longer
take up residence
and disappointment's appointment
would be cancelled
yes I cried for you
because
you are tired of shedding the tears for yourself
so I stand as a surrogate
to bear your pain
to struggle with your struggles
I cried for you
exchanging my happiness
for your sorrow
so that you would never have to feel the crucifying nails
of rejection
piercing your soul
I cried for you that you may draw strength
and heal
become complete and whole
empathic love
spanning across the distance
I gladly
take every hurt
I rejoice in every rejection
I salivate at every denied love
if it means that you shall have another hope
of your soul being tied
I cried for you last night
knowing that the tears that I shed
fell for you
as well as for myself

Arrested me is True had me on total lock down
Such that all i could do was cry out for you

That you've FELT my pain That you've Kissed my Soul
Warmed my Heart, it's no longer so cold

Stay with me a while for it's been a lonely road
Yet you have paved it with an Energy that's Pure Gold
