I cant get up
With you always pushing me down
I cant get up and be a man for my kids
with you locking me up in front of their innocent eyes
Such a dayum disgrace
I cant teach my litte girl how to one day be a young lady
With all your milicious intent on firing me at the end of the day
I cant get up
If you have picket lines
To tell me who I should date
I cant get up and buy houses on Melrose
makin minimum wage
I cant get up
When financial aid says 35k
is too much to make
Dayum makes me wonder have they watched
the market as of late
I cant get up and dance my dance
When all I can afford to do is pay my way
to the next gig or two
I cant get up
Unless you stand up
pick me up
help me up
So I can pick my sistah up
her brother up
Their cousins up
And all dem folks up
So we can all be up
And we can say
I CAN get up!

Off the top of my head :) :yo
