Where did all the love go
    Can you tell me baby

    What happened to
    kissin' me softly
    can't wait to touch me
    not livin' without me
    bein' my baby

    What happened to
    candlelit dinners
    walkin' in the moonlight
    gettin' lost in each other
    luvin' all night

    When did we lose
    the dreams we made
    the life we planned
    you and me
    us/we
    holdin' hands

    When did we lose
    EVERYTHING

    I guess it was when
    you told me about
    "her"
    and then you said
    "it didn't mean a thing"
    to you

    But it meant
    "everything"
    to me

    So I guess I just
    answered my own question

    and

his typical "it didn't mean anything to me" line nullified anything else he might have said in answer to the question.....
sometimes we already have the right answer, any way.

    very real....thank you

    what if

he really meant that it hadn't meant anything. Sometimes things happen that later everyone will wish hadn't. If it's going to be real you have to learn to accept your companion as human and able to make mistakes. I have...

i believe that many women ask themselves these questions and don't even know that they have the answer.

mslucious...maybe we have met somewhere before...and thanks for identifying with the words..I think these are words too many people hear from their loved ones...

Rich...sometimes the reflection is not the one we want to see, but if we are honest we have to see that it's real..thanks for the words...

BE..thank you for the read as always

Alyce...I agree, that one line makes everything null and void doesn't it, almost as if it never was...

soul...I think if 2 people love and respect each other, they will talk about a problem before they go looking fo a solution in someone elses arms...I don't think it's human to break someones heart and tear their world apart, which is what so often happens when one lover cheats on the other, and then adds insult to injury by saying, "it didn't mean a thing"..but that is only the way I see it, and I realise others will see it differently...thank you for your words and for the read...

j'hiah...I have to agree...and sadly it doesn't only happen to women, sometimes the man is on the receiving end of this situation...and most of the time the question is already answered
    before it is asked...
