    I Am a Black Queen

I will never be a size two
    My shape is considered thick
    I am a black queen
I get loud when I’m feeling ignored
My self-confidence is mistaken for bitchy
    I am a black queen
I am a mixture of mocha and chocolate
I am passed over for ‘the lighter one’
    I am a black queen
My lips are naturally full..not full of collagen
My hips move with rhythm and motion
    I am a black queen
My hair does not flow down my back
    My hair is naturally…nappy
    I am a black queen
My eyes are not some tropical color
My smile hides generations of pain
    I am a black queen

Recognizing beauty in its natural state...It doesn't have to be altered to be beautiful. I felt such pride in this piece, well done, poetess.

Black is truly beautiful sista and thanks for being real. I find everything about black women ( especially chocolate ones) so sexy, its a second religion to me.
