I wrote this awhile ago I can't remember if I posted it before or not

I did too much for your love
    Too too much
I stooped too love for your love
    Too too low
    I degraded myself
    Over and over again
    Time after time
    Became less of a woman
    For your love
    But don’t feel proud
    I’M BACK
My feet rooted firmly on the ground
    My shoulders not slumped
    My head held high
    Did you hear me?
    I’M BACK
    And I thank you
For showing me the road to never travel again
Forcing me too pick myself up off the ground
Making me stronger as a woman
    Much love to ya brotha
You only did what I allowed you to do
    It’s my bad
    I ain’t mad at ya.

...too often we give our power
    but sometimes the experience
is necessary in order for us to
    realize our full potential...
when it comes to love and
    matters of the heart...

    Feeling this piece...

    Great poem

    Nice post Phenomenal

One must know when they have something good. Surprise I believe takes many fast, into believing they deserve the good things and by doing so they abuse those and things that are good. Smell the rose, taste the petals take your time do it slowly. Take in its scent. Water it, and keep as long as possible, because it will die. But a heart needs stroking or it will surely dry.

Stay strong heart. Never be uncertain. :hearts2:

Hey, if you did poet it before it was worth reading again. Sometimes what seems like a swift kick in the behind, is actually a hidden stepping stone. I feel you here sis, you captured this feeling very well. Props to you.

I feel this one personally. It hit home. Some of us allow brothas to do some of the most awfullest (that a word?) things to us. But the fact that we came out on top in the end is what matters most. And it's not some much the end as it is the beginning of a beautiful thing.

I had this experience with a relationship too, girl. Because of it, I'm stronger and don't put up with nothin anymore. This is such a tight piece! I love it.
