when you tugged on my dress

I could’ve shrugged i guess

Me your ladybug, What a mess

I thought you were a shady thug how could I have known you were sent to my address

To give me hugs and caress

But you were looking so smug with success

When you pulled the rug out from my red carpet to progress

It made it hard to assess if you sought to possess

Or just lacked the natural finesse

It takes to express why you had an Oscar waiting for me before I could address

you as “Howard”

love,

eve
