    Shem Hotep Family:

This is a question that was first posed by Dr. Hagins, and I needed to bring it to the Family's attention.

Better yet - in addition to the initial question, I have some others:

How were things BEFORE the first Bible?

How did people live BEFORE the Bible came along?

What were belief systems like BEFORE the first Bible?

Please answer and respond as you wish.

    Peace-

    KD

I am speaking of the very FIRST Bible, since it is likely that one followed the other.

Thus you would be speaking of the Dogon Song which is the flashpoint of most Sacred Text. Without this Song we would have no concept of origin and god would be the imagination of each individual until one individual became great among the people and started propagating their perception of god and then once again you would have the development of Bibles.

Sacred Text is a natural facet of Nature that is parallel to the nature of leaders and follwers; it is the Laws of Nature.

This means if you traveled to another planet, the beings of that planet would have Sacred Text no matter how advanced the culture is. Curiosity of GOD is Human Nature, that curiosity manufactures Bibles.

    Intersting question.
I heard Dr haggins here on 106.3(radio station) discussing the same subject.
The best answer I can give is us!
It's obvious civilization started with us.
    Meaning spirituality as well.

I agree, and when you read ancient stories about the gods you will realize most of them are about us, humans and deals with the actions of great individuals or families that were in some way responsible for the establishment of nations.

Writing those stories and attributing them to the gods is the True Nature of Ancestral Worship.

(Music Producer) - Writing those stories and attributing them to the gods is the True Nature of Ancestral Worship.

great ancestors are deified and become gods. this isn't attributing actions to gods. it's elevating the spirit of a person to god status. the spirit lives on and continues to communicate with people.
a divine kingship is literally a royal descendent of a deified king.

on a smaller scale, the spirit of all ancestors/family..who have made the transition to the spirit world; should be remembered, nurtured and venerated.

with kings, people that have been great for the community as a whole...their spirit is elevated to god status. deity status.

why does auset find the body of ausar? why does auset & heru continue to "resurrect" ausar and communicate with him, seek advice...etc? the spirit does not die.

"the true nature of ancestor worship" is in nurturing and communicating with the spirit after the transition.
it is not in writing stories and "attributing" them to gods.

Aint we saying the same thing?

    To “attribute”…..
    To “become”……

    Aint that the same?

Except my point of view is from the priest that is writing and your point of view would be from the spirit that is being written about.

    it’s the same.

if you accept that imhotep, ausar, auset...etc. are gods; yes, we are saying the same thing.
