That depends on so much, brother...

You say your bumps are puss filled? I am familiar with bumps (aka: shaving bumps, usually small (red) bumps on those of lighter skin that pass quickly) that come from irritation of the skin due to shaving with razors. But puss-filled? That's a new one.

Are they like pimples/zitz, or are they big bumps? Do they hurt? Pop?

First thing first, what kind of shaving foam are you using? It might be that your skin is very sensitive, and that you should resort to an all-natural shaving cream/foam, (check carolsdaughter.com, or other herb/natural dealers). Gilette etc are not known for their natural content, rather, their synthetic content.

Second, how you shave is also of vital importance. Against the grain? How fast do you shave? How often?

Third, after shave balm. Which one are you using? All depending on which one you use, you can perhaps avoid bumps. Again, all-natural might be the way to go.

In the end, shaving is not good for your skin, no matter what type of skin you have. This is a known fact. If you are of light hairgrowth, then you might want to consider only shaving with the grain, or using a machin as to spare your skin.

    How was that, brother?

    Stay blessed.

    Greetings Brother Therious,
Shaving is something Africans have done for thousands of years. We are the creators of personal hygiene, hairdressing, cosmetology, etc. Check out the images on those pyramid walls. Most of the Kemetic priest were bald. And the Kemetic kings had tight cuts and trimmed beards. Handsome brothas they were. The Euros have stolen many combs/picks, razors, mirrors, etc from the temples throughout the Nile Valley. Back in the days of our grandfathers some made a living giving shaves and cuts. Shaving can be hard on the skin . I personally stopped breaking out bad after shaving when I: 1) changed my diet. This is most important because what you eat comes out through the skin the body is getting rid of the poisons that are inside. 2) stopped using the Euros shaving cream, shaving lotion, after shave, soaps, shampoos, etc these are full of synthetic chemicals, hard on the skin and most are animal based <lard, lanolin, gelatin> 3) started using the wonderful Black soap from Ghana. Before I shave, I prepare the skin by washing it with hot water (i like mine as hot as I can take it) and a good natural soap. This opens up the pores and releases dirt and loosens the skin. You can also apply a hot towel to your skin. I massage my face while I wash it. Then I lather up some more soap on my face and shave. After each light stroke (with the grain) on my face I clean the razor in water. After I shave I wash my face while taking a shower with Black soap again, dry my face by patting it with a clean towel and apply some good shea butter or palm oil (make sure it is not that processed stuff). I always shave before I go to bed so at night my skin can heal. Diet has a lot to due with pimple, zits, bumps etc. Some brothas skin is more sensitive (diet can have alot to do with the sensitivity of ones skin) than others so you might want to shave every other day instead of everyday if possible. You might want to use a electric shaver instead of a razor. Remember your skin is under a lot of stress by air pollution, EMF-electromagnetic forces (cell phones, tv, computers, etc), daily poisons we put on the skin (lotions, perfumes, etc), diet, etc.

    Tranquillity

My dad introduced me to "Magic Shave" which rarely leaves razor bumps.

    The following works as well

BUmp Guard shaving gel/cream, it's really good , use in combination with any after shave lotion

either way, ALWAYS use some sort of after shave(I usually use Peroxide, the stuff you put on cuts and stuff like that, anything that will kill the bacteria is fine, if it stings, it works :))
