    {off the top}

    Can you handle responsibility
…like the child you helped conceive
Ease the burdens of your baby’s Mama
Heave you learnt the meaning of
    “Please.”

    Are you man enough?

Have you grasped the concept of one woman
    …the meaning of Self Control
Do you understand where I’m coming from
    Respecting the young and old

    Are you man enough?

Can you walk away from yo’ boys
For the sake of your home

For the love of your child
    Can you leave the STREETS…alone

    Can you?

    Are you man enough?

Are you open to a reality
    You’ve never thought of
Can you come together as one
    And abide in her love

    Are you man enough?

You’ve heard of law and order
    And rejected its claim
    A Black Man can’t survive
Lest he have fortune and fame

    Is it your aim
    To oppose order
    And be confronted by law
Wind up in a six by ten feet cell
And claim it’s all their fault

    Be a Man…about it.

    Are you man enough?

    dat's right! dat's what i'm talkin bout!
    sometimes babyboy don't ever learn...
and sometimes babyboy thinks because he married
his baby mama, he's a changed man...
but there are so many more ways to grow!
you got me riled up, now...
