Someone showed me a book about their ancestors the other day, and I was blown away. Not only had he documented over 200 years of history of his family in this county, but I was particularly blown away of the records of his slave's ancestors. Have anybody heard anything about this guy, Tony Hall? He just published a new book on how he did it, and people are saying some pretty amazing thing about it. I was just wondering how many of us Black people know about our ancestors or care to know? Oh by the way, you can google his new book, "Create Your Family History Book."

Welcome to Destee.com Tman, and please enjoy your stay as much as I enjoyed reading that self-promotion ... Very creative, to say the least, lol. And if I'm wrong, my sincere apologies upfront, in advance.

Oh, he's promoting his own book. So he's lying about
being shown a book about another person's ancestors? ... why? He could have done that without the lie, right?

Yes, but let's not jump conclusions, he may be promoting another person's book. Hopefully we will find out when he returns and replies.

No, not really going by what I said, here it is again:

Let's be clear, I left some wiggle room, and I apologized just in case I was wrong. Where's your apology? The statement was made because I can, lol.

Misleading none the less. Planted a seed of doubt.
I asked a question! No apology needed on my part.
:p ... hope I caused no grief to anyone, even you!
Peace, Love and Happiness to us all:heart:

Question butterfly#1, what is your response to this:

Yes, but let's not jump conclusions, he may be promoting another person's book. Hopefully we will find out when he returns and replies.

Clyde C Coger Jr, 26 minutes ago

And doesn't this all depend upon his return and his answer? Did you see even more wiggle room above?

That's fine, Clyde ... but, you made a statement because you COULD and did. I was wrong in repeating it. I never thought you would throw something out like that just because you could.
I feel your intellect would not allow it to happen.
    but....
    Thanks for this lesson

No grief taken, except nothing was misleading butterfly#1. The seed of doubt is a personal opinion, not planted for others to follow, in that situation. Or, are you saying a person isn't entitled to their personal opinion?
