There's a part in that movie where a gangster says he keeps drugs circulating amongst blacks because they're animals without souls. My version of what he said is heavily censored but the point is if any of today's "gangstas" or "thugs" have watched that movie, shouldn't they take away a very important message from that scene? Selling drugs was/is a way to keep black neighborhoods down. No good can come from it.

I agree with you and I know the scene u are talking about .....but... most 'gangsters' in the hood don't even deal with drugs. Just because u wear a doo rag or have baggy jeans don't make u a thug. The term gangster has been made way to loose anyway by non gangsters.

Black drug dealers in Black communities dont care about Black people. Otherwise why would they do it? They care about themselves only and will happily trade your health for their own wealth.

[QUOTE="Arianne, post: 964727, member: 57168" The New York City based five families didn't sell drugs directly, they partnered with existing drug enterprises & taxed them heavily & provided protection when needed, that policy extended to any other money making illegal commodity within their sphere of control.

There were lower echelon soldiers who sold drugs on the side but that was greatly discouraged with severe consequences to violators, the issue the Godfather scene intended to portray is no illegal activity was to take place anywhere the Dons & Capos lived or conducted their day to day operations, or near any Catholic Church, school or anywhere their families might congregate or conduct business outside of the Italian core areas.

To violate that decree invoked an immediate death sentence to the violator(s). There were exceptions of course like any rule or policy./QUOTE]

However isn’t the really BIG problem with drugs in any community at all, the DEMAND, which is why drug addiction has always totally baffled me [I truly like REALITY, have no interest at all in the various states of oblivion created by drugs and alcohol]?

Aren’t all these drugs/various substances along with alcohol and even food etc [aren’t given away free anywhere on this planet, in fact aren’t the class A’s very very expensive] to excess the ultimate CONTROLLER POWER PLAY with regard to getting the WEAK to spend considerable sums of cash to mash themselves up?

Isn’t ANYONE who genuinely believes they are not programmed
graphically illustrating that their programming is COMPLETE?
