She writes the poems and sings the ballads
Those that cause hearts to skip beats through
rhymes, songs, love and reasons unknown
Exposing why we dare to love each other so

Plays on words create sensual word play
Exciting souls and stirring many emotions
Softly she calls my name in a hurried haste
Lovingly wanting me in karma filled dreams

Weak in the knees from sweat drenched lust
Weakened further by the gentleness of the delicate
way she captivates, stimulates, and meditates my mind
With eyes closed I visualize holding her close—no, closer

She touches me in reality; seductively in all the "right" places
While my fantasized manner reciprocates if only in quiet gesture
I yearn to love her deeply while the early light of dusk
fades to black within moments and reveals our highest axis
Our destiny is written across the sky where shooting stars dwell

Storied pleasures of a kiss under an orange moon split in two
A kiss so passionate that I am swallowed up as if eaten alive
Night passes slowly but time rages on as our love soars
I am inhaling like I’m trying to capture all parts of her essence

Spiritual souls dance with our hearts while our eyes follow in pursuit
Exuberant happiness draws nearer every hour of every passing day
Connections once thought inconceivable binds us for eternity
Love spells cast over many lifetimes secures our perpetual union

In all that we’ve become and all of our love experiences,
I cherish the little things that tell how I love her so...

I love the tender way you speak of your love ~ more proof there's nothing like the love of a Poet.

    Thank you for sharing,
