Reporting a Hacked LinkedIn Account

What should I do if I think someone has taken over my account?

If you still have access to your account, but believe someone else may be accessing it, we recommend taking the following actions right away:

  • Turn on two-step verification, which prevents unauthorized access to your account even if someone has your username and password.
  • Review all email address(es) (e.g. Gmail, Yahoo Mail) and phone numbers on your LinkedIn account to make sure they are up to date and have not been compromised.
  • Check your personal email account(s) to ensure they haven't been compromised. You can always reset the passwords on those accounts as well to be on the safe side.
Contact us if you can't access your account with your usual login information and notice changes being made to your connection list or profile. We will verify your ownership of the account to help you regain access.
