a love that can’t
be tested…
is a love that can’t
be trusted…&
…with that in mind
i felt inclined to tell
you that… we are
withstanding the tests
of time
beautiful-ly…

since the beginning
of OurStory we’ve
faced adversity…
in the form of ex’s
(of both sexes)
haters… & naysayers…

but

we are no longer trying
to justify… we’re not
pressing to find the
reason behind the rhyme
we just know—
it’s OurTime to shine…

…mysun
from the moment
you called me yourmoon
…i’ve been complete-ly
in tune with the line…
“he rules the day
& I rule the night”
‘cause the divine light
of OurLove is
extreme-ly bright &
ceaseless-ly unremitting…

we are no longer questioning
our souls sanity
we just know—
this sweet pairing of
Poet you/Poetess me
is destiny… & we
were meant to be
here… now…honoring
OurUnion exclusive-ly
because… we deserve it.

i remember when
you told me:

“elayne, i would face every fear
instilled inside of me
so we can see clearly
from afrikan mountains our future

child of the sun,
woman-queen of me
...there isn't anything i wouldn't
do to make sure happiness
sits playfully at your feet.”

& i still believe you…
because i trust you &
because… we are worth it.
